To celebrate 50 years of manufacturing at their Shippensburg, PA HQ, Volvo Construction Equipment North America created a beautiful drone light show with Pixis, telling the evolution of Volvo's contruction machinery from past, to present, to what's in store for the future. The shows were hosted at Volvo Days 2024, which took place over five days in September (15th-19th) and featured popular models of their heavy equipment throughout history.
The famous Gravel Charlie articulated hauler of the 1960s transforms to its modern-day counterpart, the A60H. We see a ground-breaking (literally) excavator which with its iconic long boom and bucket before Volvo takes us to today's front loader: the L120H. The L120H uses state-of-the-art technology and champions fuel efficiency in the construction space. Always moving forward, Volvo's story in the sky takes us to the future of construction seen through their innovative efforts and commitment to sustainability. Volvo showcases ZEUX in the sky. Co-designed with Lego Technic, ZEUX will be a fully electric, fully autonomous front loader, a long way from where it all started: the H10 front loader of the 1950s.
Volvo is a leader in construction equipment innovation, and we're excited to see where they take us next!
