The Brand’s Vision
The Dodgers sought to create a powerful moment that united fans through shared culture and pride. Their goal: pay tribute to West Coast music legends in a way that would resonate emotionally with their diverse audience. The challenge? Telling a nuanced story in a limited timeframe, in a format that was both high-impact and compliant with stadium and FAA constraints.
Our Creative Solution

The show opened with the word “Dodgers” emblazoned in lights, paired with a portrait of Tupac, setting the stage for a tribute to hip-hop legends. Next came a spray paint can animating the phrase “West Coast” in Gothic lettering, evoking the visual language of ‘90s streetwear and Compton icons.
From there, we recreated a memorable pop culture moment: Ice Cube arriving at Dodger Stadium in a lowrider, World Series trophy in tow. Fans saw him raise the trophy in a powerful symbol of LA pride and legacy—an emotional peak that aligned perfectly with the brand’s goals.
Solving for Time Constraints with Creative Tech
Due to limited air time, we needed to depict several musical legends—Ice T, Ice Cube, Tupac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, and Kendrick Lamar—without lengthy transitions. Our Skyscreen light mapping allowed us to reveal their likenesses instantly and with stunning clarity, thanks to a high-density drone formation that ensured facial accuracy and audience recognition.
To transition seamlessly, the circular Skyscreen morphed into a spinning vinyl record, with the Dodgers logo as the needle—a symbolic merge of music and sport that emphasized their shared place in LA culture.
A Visually Cohesive Finale
The story concluded with the Dodgers logo transforming into the L.A. hand sign, which then evolved into a Dodger-blue mic drop—a visual metaphor for the show-stopping impact of the night. This finale not only honored musical legends but also tied every moment back to the Dodgers brand identity.
