WHAT WE’RE ABOUT:
Pixis Drones, LLC. creates breathtaking drone shows that illuminate the night sky. We blend creative storytelling with entertainment to create aerial art displays of words, logos, and images that leave a lasting impression with audiences.
THE ROLE:
We’re looking for an experienced and highly creative 3D artist to develop drone light shows. This experienced artist will have a background in the gaming or VFX industry. On the Job training in producing shows will be provided by Pixis blending support from our existing team and hands on experience in the field. With the collaboration and support of our operations team, you will design high impact shows that will WOW the drone audience. FULL JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Brainstorm, conceptualize and produce a wide range of 3D graphics and animations
- Support the complete team with concept sketches, designs and mock-ups
- Ability to create expressive character animations portraying a wide range of emotions
- Realize complete drone shows from the first concept to the final animation prior to flight
- Take ownership of your work and proactively support the team by offering creative ideas to improve the business and our processes
- Work with our creative team to expand our animation creation capacity through recruitment and management of external resources
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience working in 3D asset creation using programs such as Blender, C4D, 3DS Max and Maya
- 3+ years working in Photoshop and other technologies utilized in digital art production
- Able to create low-poly assets and work with Blender plugins like “animation nodes” or “effectors” in C4D.
- 1+ years of experience in rigging and animating

MARKETING MANAGER

What This Job is About:
The marketing manager is a key member of the Pixis team and will work to plan, execute, and launch digital and social marketing projects for the drone show company.
Specific Functions:

Build and support strategy and implementation of digital advertising (LinkedIn, Google, YouTube, display), email automation, social media, SEO, website optimization for both agency and client work. Will contribute to all facets of digital marketing but will specifically be responsible for running multi-channel campaigns, social media strategy and community management, and email marketing strategy

Plan and develop Pixis social media campaigns, crafting compelling content, posting content across the brand’s social media accounts, analyzing campaign success. Define KPIs for social media campaigns

Video content development of Pixis shows, track assets, resourcing, and monitoring live campaigns as they launch to ensure all elements run flawlessly and smoothly

Travel is required to Pixis shows, managing the content crew and ensuring all footage is shot and delivered in a timely manner, upwards of 60-80% of the time

Managing the editing process of creating Pixis sizzle reels for website or other social media content.

Curate email marketing outreach and support the creation of one-sheets and decks, translating show research and compelling stats into client-facing language

Work with the larger marketing team to optimize influencer partnerships and align on strategy, budgets, goals, and testing plans

Communicate effectively to all stakeholders including senior management and content developers

Generally, support the digital and Pixis teams with day-to-day projects, pitching in where help is needed

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5+ years’ experience in marketing, digital, and social media

Video resourcing experience in hiring videographers and photographers and understanding camera and file type requirements

Analytical capabilities and strength in diving into the numbers to find and tell a story

PILOT (FREELANCE)

WHAT WE’RE ABOUT:

THE ROLE:
We’re looking for an experienced pilots that are able to operate drone swarm light shows for Pixis Drones, LLC., a new company formed to produce drone light shows. After undergoing training on our control systems, the pilot either support the Lead Pilot or oversee small drone shows, as well as maintenance and logbook upkeep for the equipment.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as secondary Pilot supporting the Lead Pilot
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command of swarms sUAS
- Conduct pre-mission planning with project managers/producers to clarify deliverables.
- In collaboration with the head of drone operations, develop flight plans, check NOTAMS, check weather and coordinate airspace integration with any effected controlling agencies or privately owned properties.
- Perform equipment troubleshooting and regular maintenance
- Solve problems on the ground in real-time.
- Review reported malfunctions and identify/analyze any undesirable trends
- Maintain flight and battery logs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional experience with multi-rotor drones, and pre-programmed waypoint missions
- FAA Part 107 license required
- Knowledge of proper operations of sUAS per FAA Part 107 regulations.
- Thorough understanding of all components of RPAS
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in the field
- Knowledge of RTK-GPS systems
- Familiarity with non-DJI sUAS
- Ability to follow SOPs and keep up to date logs of pilots, equipment, and batteries.
- Ability to work outdoors with limited facilities and resources for extended periods of time in various climates.
- Knowledge of civilian airspace and aeronautical charts.
- Ability to read and understand flight logs.
- Ability to understand drone firmware parameters.
- Ability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair UAS equipment.
- Ability to manage small field crew (2-4 people), field schedule, and project expectations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
WHAT YOU’RE ALL ABOUT:
- 1+ years of experience flying drone shows.
- Safety orientated at all times ensuring that all SOP’s are buttoned up at all times.
- Ability to articulate and communicate effectively.
- A consummate team player with the ability work within a structured goal orientated environment.
- The ability to think on your feet on the ground managing multiple tasks and deliverables with a professional attitude.
- Potential travel (50-75%) when needed with the ability to work on weekends/holidays and on short notice holidays.
